CONCRETEHAUS: A proposed one storey residence that encapsulates the true hospitable nature of a Filipino family within its simple concrete shell. A testament of hard work and generosity, a refuge in the motherland.
The entry porch welcomes whoever enters the house with a feature wall that mimics that of the owner's family residence. A kind gesture to acknowledge one's roots and forge a bond between relatives both old and new.
The main consideration for this project is having enough space to gather guests while still having an ample amount of unpaved areas for vegetation. Thus the idea of utilizing such spaces for both private and public use through operable walls that opens up to the gardens at the rear side of the property.
Interior Perspectives
The interior was organized in an open plan that connects the living spaces to the outdoor dining, gathering the areas accessible to anyone on one side while keeping the sleeping areas private.
